Land and Site Planning – Rendezvous
Engineering provides land and site planning consultation and services. We
assist planning efforts for individual site developments and re-development
projects. We assist with planning small and large subdivisions and planned
unit developments. Our planning services include feasibility analysis and
preparing conceptual design maps and presentation exhibits. Our planning
efforts build from our proven experience with addressing client needs,
community concerns, infrastructure requirements, traffic circulation,
government regulations, and environmental impacts. We have actively conducted
and participated with design charrettes to obtain and foster public concerns
and comments. We offer extensive experience with county and town planning and
development requirements.
Water
Supply Investigations – Rendezvous Engineering has extensive experience
in the development of water supply facilities throughout Wyoming and Idaho.
Our principal engineers have helped site and oversee the construction of
water supply wells and springs for private residences, commercial
developments, water districts and municipalities. We work with geologists to
analyze and evaluate sites for groundwater well and spring development. We
review water quality testing and drilling records to evaluate the feasibility
of potential well development. We inventory and evaluate existing water
systems to identify necessary operations and improvements to provide safe and
adequate water supplies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Transportation
Planning and Analysis – Our services include roadway system planning,
traffic counts and analysis, intersection design, and development of roadway
standards. Our principal engineers are actively involved in reviewing and
coordinating transportation issues for local and state government. We are
active in planning pedestrian facilities and alternate transportation modes.
Utility
Infrastructure Planning and Design – Rendezvous Engineering designs water
supply wells, and booster pump systems, distribution systems, sanitary sewer
collection systems and treatment facilities, and storm water facilities for
site developments and public works projects. We coordinate with local utility
companies to design and install power, natural gas, phone, and cable TV
services. We evaluate system demands and design facilities to minimize
operation maintenance costs. Our infrastructure designs consider life cycle
costs, system reliability, future demand and expansion needs.
Road,
Streets, and Pathways Design – Rendezvous Engineering designs private
driveways, rural and subdivision roads, urban streets, highways, and
bike-pedestrian facilities. Our principal engineers have designed road and
pathway projects for the Town of Jackson, Teton County, and the Wyoming
Department of Transportation. We design roads and driveways in challenging
mountain terrains. Our road designs strive to minimize impacts to the
environment and scenic vistas. Our urban street designs typically include
pedestrian and bike facilities, as well as trees and landscape amenities.
Bridges
and Underpasses - Rendezvous Engineering designs bridges and underpass
structures for roads and pathways. Our principal engineers have designed
bridges for the private entities, the Town of Jackson, Teton County, and the
Wyoming Department of Transportation. We perform evaluations and structural
load ratings for existing bridges. We design aesthetic timber bridge
structures (including timber-arch structures) to accommodate vehicle and
pedestrian crossings over streams and wetlands in the Jackson Hole area. Our
principal engineers designed a pedestrian underpass facility crossing under a
major highway (five-lane) highway. We also design precast concrete bridges
structures, which can be cost effective and rapidly constructed.

Grading
and Erosion Control– Rendezvous Engineering designs grading and erosion
control plans for large residences and commercial projects in compliance with
Teton County and the Town of Jackson Land Development Regulations. Typical
services include detailed access drive and house grading plans, retaining
wall designs, earthwork quantity calculations, re-vegetation plans and
specifications, and temporary or permanent erosion control structure designs.
Where dictated by site conditions, Rendezvous Engineering also works in close
association with qualified geotechnical engineers to evaluate slope stability
and soil characteristics for the proposed construction.

On-Site
Wastewater Systems – Rendezvous Engineering offers extensive experience
with the design and permitting of on-site wastewater systems for
environmentally sensitive sites including high groundwater, steep slopes, and
poor soils. We are experienced with the design intermittent sand filter
septic system that discharge higher quality effluents for high ground water
and environmentally sensitive areas. Past experience ranges from
single-family systems on constrained sites to large commercial facilities
such as the National Wildlife Museum in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Landscape
Architecture – Rendezvous Engineering has a registered landscape
architect on staff with extensive experience in residential and commercial
site design, pond design, planting layout, site grading, irrigation, and land
use planning. This capability enhances project creativity and helps balance
aesthetic needs with the challenges of infrastructure design. We strive to
design low maintenance landscapes, utilizing native trees and plants. Our landscape
design services are an important component to residential and commercial
projects, and a valued amenity to most infrastructure projects.

Ponds,
Water Features, Wetland Mitigation – Rendezvous Engineering designs pond
and wetland projects for aesthetics, habitat enhancement, and mandated
wetlands mitigation. Rendezvous Engineering provides expertise in the design
of supply, control and conveyance structures to supply water to ponds. We
design pond-lining systems to minimize seepage losses. We also design
re-circulation and aeration systems to control algae growth and odors, and to
promote habitat suitable for sustaining native animals and fish.
